Founder – Rod Jefferson
EWH Consulting was founded by Rod Jefferson, whose extensive experience in commercial management and project delivery within the hospitality and leisure sectors shaped the company’s practical and client-focused ethos. His hands-on industry knowledge guided our approach — providing pragmatic advice, fostering trusted relationships, and ensuring projects were delivered with professionalism and integrity.
Rod has now retired from the business, leaving behind a strong foundation, clear values, and a reputation for quality that continue to underpin everything we do at EWH Consulting.
The Team
Today, EWH Consulting is led by Steve Tomkinson, Mike Smith, and Chris Wilson. Together, they bring a broad range of experience and a shared commitment to maintaining the high standards established by the company’s founder.
The business continues to be run with the same professional, client-first approach — focused on clear communication, practical solutions, and building long-term relationships. We currently work with a number of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 businesses across the licensed trade and hotel, student and domestic accommodation sectors.
Working in partnership with one of the UK’s largest pub companies, EWH Consulting provides Quantity Surveying and project coordination services across a nationwide estate of pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels.
Acting as PM/QS, we support the delivery of projects across the QSR estate, ensuring schemes are completed on programme and within budget. Our involvement includes refurbishment and reimage programmes along side a high-profile national rollout of the Kwench drinks brand, coordinating delivery across multiple locations while maintaining brand consistency and programme certainty.
Providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services across the family-owned estate of pubs and hotels, including major redevelopment projects such as the JW Lees head office programme.

We have also supported national signage rollout initiatives, providing both QS and PM services to ensure brand compliance, programme alignment and cost certainty across multiple sites.

Our experience includes bedroom refurbishment works, “sense of arrival” front-of-house transformation projects, and acting as PM/QS on the flagship Hell’s Kitchen restaurant development in collaboration with Gordon Ramsay, ensuring commercial control and coordinated delivery within a prestigious trading setting.
Delivering Project Management and Quantity Surveying services within fast-paced QSR environments, supporting new store openings across the expanding national estate. Our role includes commercial and programme management of new stroe fit-outs, refurbishment of existing locations and rebranding initiatives, ensuring each project aligns with operational requirements and brand standards.
